While Austria-based photographer Edgar Moskopp has almost an endless amount of incredible landscape shots, the ones where he brings out the vibrant colors of the sky are the ones we just can’t get enough of. While he’s been taking pictures since he was just 15-years-old, it wasn’t until he got his first DSLR, back only five years ago, that he truly fell in love with photography.

Moskopp uses a variety of programs to bring out the colors in his photos and he’s open to sharing his process. “As the majority of my shots are HDR-shots, the first software my photos run through is usually Photomatix Pro,” he tells us. “I will then import the resulting HDR-images into Lightroom, sort them and do basic adjustments. I then take the images into Photoshop to do the final adjustments.”

Just two-and-a-half years after joining Flickr, Moskopp joined an elite group, surpassing a million views on the popular photo sharing site. Aside from the accolades, he just wants his photos to inspire others. “If I am able to make people start to dream when they look at my pictures or if I succeed in waking-up their wanderlust spirit, then I am very happy,” he says. “I always try to show the beauty of our wonderful planet. There is so much beauty to be seen as long as you keep your eyes open.”

Beautiful color images of Paris, from a century ago, serve as a record of how much some things have changed while others have remained the same.

Scenes from World War II Photoshopped Onto Today’s Streets

“It is a bit like painting with history,” Jo Hedwig Teeuwisse says of her project “Ghosts of History.”

She got the idea a few years ago when she found some old negatives at a flea market in Amsterdam, where she lives. “I was very curious about these mysterious photos and wanted to find out who took them and where. So I started to walk around Amsterdam and made photos in the same spot where the old photos were made and combined them on the computer.”

What a neat project!
